CONCORDIA TO PRESENT HOMECOMING CONCERT
Concordia Music Organizations presents the Concordia College Homecoming Concert at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in Memorial Auditorium.
The concert will begin with The Concordia Band, under the direction of new conductor Dr. Peter Haberman, a 1997 Concordia grad, performing works by Boysen, Stevens and Maslanka. Next will be The Concordia Orchestra, conducted by Foster Beyers, performing a portion of Stravinsky’s “Petrushka” as well as “Romanze for Viola and Orchestra Op.85” by Max Bruch, featuring faculty violist Kate Hamilton. The concert will conclude with The Concordia Choir, conducted by Dr. René Clausen, performing a variety of music including “Ezekiel Saw De Wheel,” “The Worlds Above” and “Beautiful Savior.”
The concert is free and open to the public.
