CHOIRS AND BELLS TO PERFORM CONCERT

The music department at Concordia College will present a Choirs and Bells Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, in Memorial Auditorium featuring Cantabile, Männerchor, the Concordia Chapel Choir, Bel Canto and Tintinnabula.
Music from a variety of composers will be performed at the concert including “Blessed Be the Name of the Lord,” “There is a Meeting Here Tonight,” “This is the Day” and “Shenandoah” performed by the handbell choir.
Cantabile is a first-year women’s choir, and Männerchor is a choir made up of the first-year male students. A blend of 100 voices creates the stunning sound of the Concordia Chapel Choir, all three conducted by Michael Culloton.
Bel Canto is a choral ensemble comprised of upperclass women who perform locally and on campus during concerts and is conducted by Julie Hagen. Tintinnabula handbell choir is conducted by Jessica Westgard.
The concert is free and open to the public.
