CONCORDIA TO HOST GUEST VIOLA AND PIANO RECITAL
The Concordia College music department will present a Guest Faculty Recital by Spencer Martin and Jessica Paul at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in Christiansen Recital Hall.
Martin on viola, and Paul on piano, will perform works by Brendo Blauth, Benjamin Dale, Johannes Brahms and Paul Hindemith.
Martin is on the music faculty of Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and serves as co-director of the International Music Festival of the Adriatic, a chamber music festival for piano, strings, voice, and composition in Duino, Italy. He has performed and taught at music festivals throughout the U.S., Canada, Israel and Europe.
Paul, a native of Chicago, is currently professor of music at Luther College as vocal coach, collaborative pianist, and teacher of accompanying. She is frequently engaged as a collaborative pianist and guest clinician, and she has worked with several opera companies.
The recital is free and open to the public.
