A radiologist, he is well known for his contributions to the medical field. He has authored 36 books and more than 200 articles in medical journals.
Gadberry has made a difference on both sides of the Red River as an educator and coach. He was elected to the state coaching hall of fame in both Minnesota and North Dakota. He was also inducted in the Moorhead High School Hall of Honor and the Hillsboro Public School Hall of Fame. He coached eight individual champions in his 45 years as a high school wrestling coach. He is also known for his active faith, serving in many capacities at his home congregations.
Kubow has dedicated her life to citizenship and democratic education. A professor at Bowling Green State University, she teaches comparative and international education. She was awarded the Outstanding Citizen Achievement Award by the United States Agency for International Development and her humanitarian efforts abroad were recognized by former President George W. Bush. She has authored a textbook on comparative education and more than 60 articles in publications. In 2007, she was elected to the Concordia Athletic Hall of Fame for her accomplishments on the women’s basketball team.
Stokke, known for his integrity and work ethic as a lawyer for Stokke and Riddet Law Corp., has been working as an attorney for 46 years. His quest for upholding constitutional rights has led him to be listed in the publication “Best Lawyers in America” and to become a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar. He has acted as a temporary judge for the Supreme Court on multiple occasions and has authored two college textbooks.
Chosen by the National Alumni Board, the Alumni Achievement Award is given to alumni who have exemplified the ideals of Concordia College through outstanding service and leadership in their profession, community and church.
