THE CONCORDIA BAND IN CONCERT
Concordia College Music Organizations will present The Concordia Band Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, in Memorial Auditorium.
The band, conducted by Dr. Peter Haberman, will perform a variety of music including “Kirkpatrick Fanfare” by Andrew Boysen Jr., Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue in Bb major,” and “Give Us This Day” by David Maslanka. The premiere performance of “Trio for Band” by Russell Peterson, associate professor of music, will also be featured.
Haberman, a Concordia graduate, joined the music faculty this fall as director of bands and assistant professor of music. He completed a Doctor of Musical Arts in conducting at the University of Minnesota. Prior to his appointment at Concordia, he held similar positions at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Bucknell University. Haberman also maintains an active schedule as a guest conductor and clinician across the United States.
The concert is free and open to the public.
