CONCORDIA SYMPOSIUM TO FOCUS ON GENOCIDE
Join the Concordia Community for the 2012 Faith, Reason and World Affairs Symposium, “Beyond Genocide: Learning to Help and Hope,” Tuesday, Sept. 11-Wednesday, Sept. 12. Most events take place in Memorial Auditorium on the Moorhead, Minn., campus.
The symposium will focus on our connections in a global community. The symposium will look at genocide as not something that only happens in Africa or in the distant past. All people are involved today as voters, consumers, scholars, humanitarians and citizens of the world. The message will be presented of finding hope beyond genocide by learning about it and becoming aware in order to address and understand the issues related to genocide.
All sessions for the symposium, now in its 26th year, are free and open to the public. For a complete schedule see www.ConcordiaCollege.edu/symposium.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering more than 60 majors, including 18 honors majors and 12 preprofessional programs.
