CONCORDIA ANNOUNCES FACULTY
PROMOTIONS AND TENURE
The Concordia College Board of Regents recently approved 13 faculty members for promotion and/or tenure. Their accomplishments are a testimony to Concordia’s commitment to academic excellence and to a quality faculty committed to teaching, scholarship and service.
Dr. René Clausen, Dr. Susan J. Larson, Dr. Lisa M. Sethre-Hofstad and Dr. Darin J. Unless were promoted to professor.
Clausen, music, earned his B.A. from St. Olaf College and his M.M. and D.M.A from the University of Illinois; Larson, psychology, earned her B.A. from the University of Manitoba and her Ph.D. from McMaster University; Sethre-Hofstad, psychology, earned her B.A. from Concordia and her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Mexico; and Ulness earned his B.A. from Concordia and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Cornell University.
Julie B. Lucier was promoted to Athletics Faculty III; Timothy P. Mosser and Clay R. Nagel were promoted to Athletics Faculty IV and Amy K. Soma was promoted to assistant librarian.
Lucier earned a B.A. from Concordia and an M.S. from North Dakota State University; Mosser earned his B.S. and M.S. from NDSU; Nagel earned a B.S. from Dickinson State and and an M.E. from the College of St. Scholastica; and Soma earned a B.S. from Minnesota State University Moorhead and an M.L.S. from Emporia State University.
Dr. Daniel P. Biebighauser, Dr. Jennifer L. Bailey DeJong, Dr. Holly A. Janz and Dr. Mikel L. Olson were granted tenure and promoted to associate professor.
Biebighauser, mathematics, earned his B.A. from Concordia and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University; Bailey DeJong, nursing, earned a B.A. from Concordia, an M.S. and F.N.P. from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. from NDSU; Janz, music, earned a B.M. from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, an M.M. from the University of Colorado and a D.M.A. from the University of Kansas; Olson, psychology, earned his B.S. from Northwestern College and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Washington State University.
Dr. Zacharie N. Petnkeu, French, was granted tenure. Petnkeu earned a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Yaoundé, Cameroon and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
