College to Hold Commencement

CONCORDIA COLLEGE TO HOLD COMMENCEMENT

    Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will present approximately 621 bachelor’s degrees and nine master of education degrees during its commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6, in Memorial Auditorium. Randy Boushek ’79, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, will speak at the ceremony.
      Boushek oversees all of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans corporate financial services for the organization, including the accounting, tax, and actuarial functions. Born in Minneapolis, he earned a B.A. degree in mathematics with summa cum laude honors from Concordia. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. In 2010, Boushek was named "CFO of the Year" by The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
      Boushek also serves as a board member of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Regents of Concordia, and a member of the Board of Directors of Concordia Plan Services in St. Louis, Mo. He has also served on the Board of the Minneapolis Downtown Council.
      Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering more than 60 majors, including 18 honors majors and 12 preprofessional programs.
