Dear Concordia Community,
We send to you our joyful thanks for your generous, spirited welcome this past Tuesday and Wednesday. What a delight it was to see some of you again, to meet others for the first time, to worship with you, and to get to know graduates and friends of Concordia in the Fargo-Moorhead region.
We are especially grateful to all who planned and took part in Wednesday’s chapel service, to the retired faculty and staff who welcomed us, to the Luther grads on faculty who took us to dinner, to all in Alumni Relations who hosted us for their reception, to Erik George and the leaders of Student Government Association who fêted us at lunch, and to Steve Wold and the Lutheran clergy with whom we met at Trinity Church. And to President and Mrs. Dovre, Board Chair David Solberg, the presidential search committee, and all in Communications and Marketing, our continued gratitude.
What a great and good story Concordia has to tell! Ours is a liberal arts college of national distinction and global reach, a college of rare integrity in the wholeness of its faith and learning mission, a college that inspires and transforms all who learn, teach, and work to fulfill its purposes—on campus and around the world.
We look forward to returning to campus, to making our home with you, and to serving the college that so many so rightly love.
With our best regards,
Bill and Anne Craft
