Tri-College Unveils Vaccinology Minor
Jul 14, 2011
Concordia College, Minnesota State University Moorhead and North Dakota State University have joined forces to offer a vaccinology minor. This is the first minor of its kind to be offered to undergraduates.
Representatives from each of the schools met July 13 to announce the program to the public (see photo). Supporters say the program will help to grow a vaccine industry in Fargo-Moorhead.
Faculty from all three schools teach the required curriculum. Dr. Jennifer Bath is the coordinator for Concordia’s vaccinology program. Eight students from each school, usually chemistry or biology minors, participate in the program.
The program is funded in part by a $150,000 Vaccinology Professorship Endowment from Sandford Health.
