Library Receives New Collection
Sep 26, 2011
A new collection is moving into the Carl B. Ylvisaker Library. The International Society for Science & Religion library contains 224 books that will be donated to Concordia. The books consider the relationship between science and religion from multiple viewpoints, including nonreligious ones.
Concordia was one of only 150 institutions around the world to receive the collection. Library director Sharon Hoverson is excited to see how students will use the books. Because so many courses explore how science and religion mix, she believes the collection will be a great resource.
"We're really pleased that we were chosen," Hoverson says. "This fits perfectly in what we do."
