A Scary Good Time
Oct 28, 2011
Emily Anderson '14, Fargo, N.D., greeted students with an eerie smile as she welcomed them into Livedalen's own haunted house. "We lost the release forms in a freak accident – enter at your own risk."
Livedalen Hall Council has a tradition of creating a creepy haunted house in the basement of Livedalen for all Concordia students to experience. It's dark and creepy and bound to get your heart pounding.
"It was a lot scarier than I expected," says Emma Connell '14, Moorhead, who screamed the whole way through the maze of monsters, clowns and ax murderers.
The kitchen was set up with a gruesome scene and the next room had a freaky looking person crawling across the floor, "chasing" the students who came through. The members of the Livedalen Hall Council dressed up in frightening costumes and really put on a great show.
The haunted house was a success that Livedalen residents are very proud of.
"I thought it was cool that they were able to use that space for something," says Luke Monke-Lundberg '15 Moorhead, a Livedalen resident. "A lot of people made the effort to go see it, which was super cool."
The haunted house was just one of the many Halloween celebrations happening on campus. This weekend, CEC is having a scary movie night and a Halloween bash complete with a haunted maze, crafts, contests and a dance.
Cobbers on campus really get into the Halloween spirit, making this time of the year fun for all.
