Mornings in Olin: Praise, Prayers and Passion

Apr 19, 2011

charlie It may be an unlikely meeting place, but three times a week Cobbers meet near the blue recycling bins in the Olin Communications and Art building for a time of prayer, music and fellowship with one another.

“Its really been a blessing that every morning before class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday to be able to get refreshed and enjoy the company of like-minded people,” says Andrea Wagner ’12, Brandon, Minn.

The impromptu worship sessions began with Charles Kossivi ’12, a West Africa native who is often seen playing guitar around campus. He says he hopes his passion for music and celebration of faith will help draw others to God’s unfailing love.

“God is the focus of my life,” Kossivi says. “It’s been a great experience to share in conversation with others and be able to sing about this great love we have in our lives that fills us with joy.”
