Collin Peterson to Speak at Commencement

Collin Peterson, Congressman for Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District, will speak at Concordia’s mid-year commencement ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17 in Memorial Auditorium. Approximately 79 bachelor’s degrees and one master of education degree will be presented.

Peterson, a native of Glyndon, Minn., graduated in 1966 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. He served in the North Dakota National Guard from 1963-1969. He was in the Minnesota Senate from 1977-86 and is currently serving his 10th term as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he is currently the chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. Peterson won re-election in November and will begin his 11th term in office in January.
