Cobbers Sleep Outside to Raise Awareness
Oct 21, 2010
Last Saturday, Cobbers braved the cold to raise awareness for the homeless and hungry in Fargo-Moorhead with an outdoor slumber party and dance. The event was organized by Elise Tweten '11, Fargo, N.D., and featured a dance in the Centrum, blanket-tying and lots of songs and night games. Students slept in boxes outside at the bell-tower in order to demonstrate - and also experience what being homeless entails. The project raised nearly $500 and lots of food for local shelters.
Check out the Cobblog for a short video and a student perspective from Geneva Nemzek '14.
