CONCORDIA LECTURE ON CHRISTIAN RESPONSE TO FINANCIAL CRISIS
Concordia College will present the Oen Fellowship Lecture featuring Dr. Kathryn Tanner at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center. The lecture, “A Christian Response to the Financial Crisis,” is free and open to the public.
Tanner’s research relates the history of Christian thought to contemporary issues of theological concern using social, cultural and feminist theory. She is professor of Systematic Theology at Yale Divinity School and has previously taught at the University of Chicago Divinity School and Yale’s Department of Religious Studies. Highly respected nationally and internationally, Tanner is the author of numerous articles and books including “Economy of Grace” (Fortress, 2005) and “Christ the Key” (Cambridge, 2010).
The lecture is supported by the Oen Fellowship Scholar Fund and coordinated by the Concordia College Department of Religion.
