CONCORDIA CHRISTMAS CONCERT TICKETS ON SALE

    Tickets to one of the best-known events in the Midwest, the 85th annual Concordia College Christmas Concert, “Today, Heaven Sings,” go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1. The Memorial Auditorium box office, located on 12th Avenue at 7th Street South, Moorhead, is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
    Tickets are $13 each plus a $2 handling charge per ticket for online, telephone and mail orders. Tickets for groups of 20 or more are $10.     The Moorhead Concerts will be held in Memorial Auditorium on the Concordia campus at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2; 3 and 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3; and 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4.
    The Minneapolis concerts will be held at Orchestra Hall at 6 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. Tickets for the Minneapolis concert can be purchased beginning Nov. 1 at the Orchestra Hall Box Office, by phone at (800) 292-4141 or online at www.ConcordiaChristmas.com. Ticket prices are $18, $22 and $26 plus handling.
    More than 450 student musicians share the joys of Christmas illuminated through themes of creation and celebration in the concert by composer and conductor Dr. René Clausen. Shepherds and angels herald the promise of new life during the 90-minute concert, which serves as an annual Christmas tradition for nearly 17,000 audience members. Artist Paul Johnson designed the magnificent 3000 square foot mural that serves as the backdrop for the Moorhead concert.
