CONCORDIA ANNOUNCES FACULTY
PROMOTIONS AND TENURE
The Concordia College Board of Regents recently approved 12 faculty members for promotion and/or tenure. Their accomplishments are a testimony to Concordia’s commitment to academic excellence and to a quality faculty committed to teaching, scholarship and service.
Dr. Douglas R. Anderson, Dr. Richard A. Gilmore, Dr. Roy Hammerling, Dr. Mark B. Jensen and Dr. Heidi Manning were promoted to professor.
Anderson, mathematics and computer science, earned a B.A. from Augustana College and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln; Gilmore, philosophy, earned a B.A. from Middlebury College and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Chicago; Hammerling, religion, earned a B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University, an M.A. and Ph.D. from University of Notre Dame and an M.Div. from Wartburg Theological Seminary; Jensen, chemistry, earned a B.A. from Northwestern College, Iowa, and a Ph.D. from Iowa State University; and Manning, physics, earned a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Gregory R. Hamilton, Dr. Julie Mach and Leonor Valderrama de Sillers were promoted to associate professor.
Hamilton, music, earned a B.M. from The Oberlin Conservatory, an M.M. from Northern Illinois University and a D.M.A. from University of Kansas; Mach, chemistry, earned an M.S. from Mayville State University and a B.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas; and Sillers, Spanish and Hispanic studies, earned a B.A. and an M.L.A. from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Dr. Jean C. Bokinskie, Dr. Scott A. Jones, Dr. Jill M. Holmstrom and Dr. Jan H. Pranger were granted tenure and promoted to associate professor.
Bokinskie, nursing, earned a B.A. from Jamestown College and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of North Dakota; Holmstorm, nursing, earned a B.S. from the University of Mary and an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Phoenix; Jones, music, earned a B.M.E from The Ohio State University, an M.M.E. from VanderCook College of Music and a D.M.A. from the University of Minnesota; Pranger, religion, earned an M.A., M.Div. and a Ph.D. from The University of Groningen and a Th.M. from Princeton Theological Seminary.
