Concordia to Present Commencement Concert

CONCORDIA TO PRESENT COMMENCEMENT CONCERT
   
    Concordia College will present the annual Commencement Concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 30, in Memorial Auditorium. The Commencement Ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1.
    This final concert of the academic year will feature The Concordia Band, conducted by Scott A. Jones; The Concordia Choir, conducted by René Clausen; and The Concordia Orchestra, conducted by Bruce Houglum in his final performance before retiring.
    The concert will include a variety of works, including “Rhapsody in Blue,” performed by the band and featuring Dr. Jay Hershberger on piano; Movement I of Beethoven’s “Symphony #9 in D minor, Opus 125,” performed by the orchestra; and “Beautiful Savior,” the traditional closing song performed by the choir.
      The concert is free and open to the public.
