CONCORDIA EMPLOYEE RECEIVES AWARD

      Darla Ward, secretary for the physical education and health/athletics department, received the Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award at the annual Spring Support Staff Appreciation Dinner April 5.
     Since 1975, Ward has given outstanding service and commitment to the mission of Concordia College. She is often the public face of Memorial Auditorium and Cobber Athletics to hundreds if not thousands of students, campus visitors and event spectators and a source of information to countless students, student-athletes and department employees.
      The Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award recognizes excellence in long-term service to the college by a member of the support staff. The recipient must be both outstanding in their professional role and a person who is committed to the mission and goals of Concordia.
