Three Choirs Concert at Concordia

THREE CHOIRS CONCERT AT CONCORDIA
The music department at Concordia College will present the Three Choirs Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 27, in Memorial Auditorium on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Cantabile, a choir of first-year female students, and Männerchor, a choir of first-year male students, are both conducted by Michael Smith. Smith has a background of 40 years in conducting choral music at Aitkin, Brainerd and Willmar high schools and Brainerd Community College.
Bel Canto, a choral ensemble of approximately 43 upperclass women, is conducted by Julie Hagen, instructor of music. Hagen, an active choral musician, has performed at divisional and national conventions of the American Choral Director’s Association and directed honors choirs in New York state.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
