CONCORDIA TO HOST TRUMPET SUMMIT

      Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will host the fourth annual T.R.U.M.P.E.T. (The Regional Upper Midwest Performance and Educational Trumpet) Summit Saturday, March 5.  The event will conclude with a concert at 4 p.m. in Buxton/Hanson Hall.
      The all-day event brings together students and faculty from five colleges throughout the upper Midwest including Concordia, NDSU, UND, MSU Moorhead and Minot State University for education and performances.
      The Gala Trumpet Ensemble Concert at 4 p.m. will feature trumpet students and faculty performing together with guest soloist, James Thompson, trumpet professor of the Eastman School of Music and former principal trumpet of the Montreal and Atlanta Symphony Orchestras. The concert will also feature the premiere of a new work for solo trumpet and trumpet ensemble composed specifically for this event by former US Army Field Band trumpeter, arranger and composer, Greg Pascuzzi.
      The Gala Trumpet Ensemble Concert is open to the public free of charge.
