COMMUNITY FORUM TO DISCUSS CURRENT CRISIS IN EGYPT
Ahmed Kamel, Mona Ibrahim, Ayah Kamel and Rebecca Moore will speak at a community forum “Egypt Beyond the Headlines,” a conversation about the current crisis in Egypt, at noon Tuesday, Feb. 8 in the Morrie Jones Conference Center Suite A/B, Knutson Campus Center.
Dr. Ahmed Kamel, professor of computer science, his wife Dr. Mona Ibrahim, director of Intercultural Affairs and associate professor of psychology, and their daughter Ayah, a senior at Concordia, will share their family’s story and discuss the crisis, its causes and talk about why Egyptians are challenging the Mubarak regime.
Dr. Rebecca Moore, professor of political science, will offer a brief historical overview of the United States’ relationship with Egypt and identify the various interests and concerns at stake in the relationship today.
The forum is free and the public is invited to attend.
