CONCORDIA STUDENT NURSE OF THE YEAR NAMED
Lindsay Barrett, a Concordia College junior, was chosen from 42 nursing students as this year’s "Student Nurse of the Year."
Barrett was nominated by the nursing faculty and chosen by her peers in the Student Nurses' Association as a top finalist for her dedication and passion for the nursing profession, her positive attitude and work ethic, and her ability to work with others as an effective leader and role model. Her essay on the "Spirit of Nursing" will be entered into the Army Nurse Corp Spirit of Nursing competition in January. As Concordia's Student Nurse of the Year, Barrett will also host the “Expanding Your Horizon's Event” with other nursing students in SNA to encourage seventh- to ninth-grade girls to enter science- and math-related fields.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
