CONCORDIA COLLEGE TO HOLD WINTER COMMENCEMENT

 

            Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will present one master of education degree and approximately 79 bachelor’s degrees during its mid-year commencement ceremony at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17 in Memorial Auditorium. Collin Peterson, Congressman for Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District, will speak at the ceremony.

            Peterson, a native of Glyndon, Minn., graduated in 1966 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting. He served in the North Dakota National Guard from 1963-1969. He was in the Minnesota Senate from 1977-86 and is currently serving his 10th term as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he is currently the chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. Peterson won re-election in November and will begin his 11th term in office in January.

            Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
