FACULTY FLUTE RECITAL AT CONCORDIA
   
    The music department at Concordia College will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18 in Christiansen Recital Hall. The recital, “Hymns & Jazz,” is free and open to the public.
    The recital is a Tri-College collaboration featuring Deb Harris, flute, with: Russ Peterson; soprano saxophone; David Ferreira, piano; Allen Carter, drums; and Bill Law, bass. The ensemble will perform the “Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio” by Claude Bolling and “The Faithful Flutist,” contemporary/jazz arrangements of 10 hymns and folk songs, by David Ferriera, along with works by Paul Horn, Mike Garson and Patrick Zimmerli.
    Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
