TWIN CITIES SPECIAL ON COLLEGE CHRISTMAS MUSIC
Selections from the 2009 Concordia College Christmas Concert are part of a Twin Cities production “Songs of the Season – A College Choir Christmas Celebration.” The program will premiere at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1 on tpt 2. It will also air at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 on tpt Life and at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5 and 1 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7 both on tpt 2.
The program will feature highlights of the college Christmas music performances taped by Twin Cities Public Television since 2004. This includes inspiring new tunes, classic carols and sacred hymns of the Christmas season performed by choirs, bands, and orchestras of Concordia College of Moorhead, Augsburg College, Bethel University, St. Thomas University, St. Olaf College and Luther College. This will be the first time music by these amazing and celebrated choirs will be seen together in one program.
The Emmy® award-winning 2009 Concordia Christmas concert, “Journey to Bethlehem,” created and staged for national distribution, was videotaped by Twin Cities Public Television and will air on stations across the country this holiday season on most stations at 8 p.m. Central time on Dec. 13, and again at 8:30 p.m. CDT on Dec. 24.
