CONCORDIA CHRISTMAS CONCERT TICKETS ON SALE

    Tickets to one of the best-known events in the Midwest, the 84th annual Concordia College Christmas Concert, “Out of Darkness + Let Your Light Shine” are now on sale at the Memorial Auditorium box office located on 12th Avenue at 7th Street South, Moorhead. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
    Tickets are $12 each plus a $2 handling charge per ticket for online, telephone and mail orders. A discount is available for group purchases of 20 or more tickets.     The Moorhead Concerts will be held in Memorial Auditorium on the Concordia campus at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 3; 3 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4; and 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5.
    The Minneapolis concerts will be held at Orchestra Hall at 6 and 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 9. Tickets for the Minneapolis concert can be purchased in person at the Orchestra Hall Box Office, by phone at (800) 292-4141 or online at www.ConcordiaChristmas.com. Ticket prices are $18, $22 and $26 plus handling.
    Art, narration, dramatic lighting and music by 450 student musicians produce the region's most dramatic Christmas celebration. The concert, by composer and conductor Dr. René Clausen, begins with the recognition that darkness, grief and sorrow touch all of our lives as darkness touched the Concordia community with the sudden and unexpected loss of President Pamela Jolicoeur. But for Christians, through the darkness is the promise of light. Artist Paul Johnson designed the magnificent mural that serves as the backdrop for the concert.
