CONCORDIA TO PRESENT JAZZ ENSEMBLE CONCERT

    Concordia College Music Organizations will present the Jazz Ensemble Concert, featuring Jazz I and Jazz II, at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19 in the Buxton/Hanson Hall, Hvidsten Hall of Music.
    The ensembles will be performing a variety of works by several composers, including Bob Mintzer, Duke Ellington and Gordon Goodwin. They will also perform “Switch in Time” and “That Warm Feeling” by Sammy Nestico as well as Doug Beach’s “A Nasty Bit of Blues.”
      Jazz I is conducted by assistant professor of music Russell Peterson, and
Jazz II is conducted by Dr. Peter Knudsvig, associate professor of music.
      The concert is free and open to the public.
