CONCORDIA COLLEGE TO HOLD COMMENCEMENT
Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will present approximately 481 bachelor’s degrees and four master of education degrees during its commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 2 in Memorial Auditorium. George C. Halvorson, CEO of Kaiser Permanente will speak at the ceremony.
Halvorson ’68 has worked for more than 30 years in health care management – many of those at the head of the country’s largest nonprofit health plan and health system, Kaiser Permanente. Kaiser is an integrated managed care system based in Oakland, Calif., and serves more than 8.6 million members. Halvorson began his career in the healthcare industry by taking a position at BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota while pursing a graduate degree in business at the University of Minnesota.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
