CONCORDIA ECHO BAND CONCERT

Concordia College Music Organizations will present the Concordia Echo Band Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 25 in Buxton/Hanson Hall, Hvidsten Hall of Music.
Making its original appearance at Concordia in the fall of 1899, the Echo Band was Concordia's first campus concert band. Returning to Concordia in the fall of 2009, the Echo Band is a non-auditioned based concert band that brings together interested students from across the campus and performs two concerts per semester.
The Echo Band is led by Dr. Scott A. Jones, director of bands, and a team of student directors, typically music education majors, who are selected through an annual application and interview process. Student directors for 2009-10 are Anthony C. Boldt '10, Timothy G. Pipinich '10 and Neal M. Raskin '10.
This concert will feature a variety of works, including hymns, sounds of the jungle and Cajun folk songs.
The concert is free and open to the public.
