CONCORDIA ANNUAL JURIED ART EXHIBITION

    Concordia’s annual Juried Art Exhibition opens Monday, March 22 and runs through Sunday, April 11 in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery. A public reception will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 23 in the gallery. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m. Admission to the exhibition and reception is free and open to the public.
    Eric Syvertson, art teacher at West Fargo High School, will jury this year’s exhibition. Syvertson is a recent graduate of MSUM with an emphasis in drawing and painting. Selections from his recent body of work will also be displayed in the gallery.
    Additional events during the Student Juried Art Exhibition include:

o Concordia College Celebration of Student Scholarship Opening Reception
    6-7 p.m., Thursday, April 8
o Creative Writing Award Reading for the best original poetry, fiction, and nonfiction in the Writing Seminar classes each year. Authors will read excerpts from their winning submission and receive awards at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday April 6

    The gallery hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday; it is closed Easter weekend, Thursday April 1 through Monday April 5.  For more information call the Art Department at (218) 299-4623.
