JAZZ I AND II TO PERFORM CONCERT AT CONCORDIA

    Concordia College Music Organizations presents the Jazz Ensemble Concert, featuring Jazz I and Jazz II, on Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Buxton/Hanson Hall of the Hvidsten Music Building.
    Songs performed by Jazz I, conducted by assistant professor of music Russell Peterson, include “Hot Monkey Love,” by Gordon Goodwin; “Let’s Cool One,” by Thelonious Monk; and “Get Up and Go,” by Sammy Nestico.
    Jazz II, conducted by guest conductor, Dr. Nathaniel Dickey, associate professor of music, will perform "Topsy" by Edgar Battle and Eddie Durham, arranged by John Berry; “Them Changes" by George Buddy Miles, arranged by Roger Holmes; and "Gertrude's Bounce" by Richie Powell, arranged by Mark Taylor.
    The concert is free and open to the public.
