CONCORDIA CHRISTMAS CONCERT TICKETS TO GO ON SALE

    Tickets to one of the best-known events in the Midwest, the 83rd annual Concordia College Christmas Concert, “Journey to Bethlehem” go on sale at 9 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Memorial Auditorium box office located on 12th Avenue at 7th Street South, Moorhead. Box office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
    Tickets are $12 each plus a $2 handling charge per ticket for online, telephone and mail orders. A discount is available for group purchases of 20 or more tickets.     The Moorhead Concerts will be held in Memorial Auditorium on the Concordia campus at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4; 3 and 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5; and 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6.
    The Minneapolis concerts will be held at Orchestra Hall at 6 and 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10. Tickets for the Minneapolis concert can be purchased in person at the Orchestra Hall Box Office, by phone at (800) 292-4141 or online at www.concordiachristmas.com on or after Nov. 2. Ticket prices are $18, $22 and $26 plus handling.
    Art, narration, dramatic lighting and music by 450 student musicians produce the region's most dramatic Christmas celebration. Composer Dr. René Clausen takes the audience members on a musical "Journey to Bethlehem" complete with a magnificent art installation by newly commissioned artist Paul Johnson. The 2009 Concordia Christmas concerts are created and staged for national distribution on public television.
