VOCAL JAZZ ENSEMBLE CONCERT AT CONCORDIA

    The Concordia College Music Department will present a Vocal Jazz Ensemble Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8 in Christiansen Recital Hall, Hvidsten Hall of Music.
    Under the direction of Kathie Brekke, Vocal Jazz Ensemble I will perform music from composers such as George and Ira Gershwin, Stevie Wonder, Hoagy Carmichael and Fats Waller, and Vocal Jazz Ensemble II will perform several selections conducted by student director Michael Brookens ’10.
    The groups will also perform selections from popular vocal jazz ensembles such as The Real Group and Glad.         
    Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
    The concert is free and open to the public.
