JOHN DOMINIC CROSSAN ON “JESUS CHRIST, SON OF GOD, SAVIOR”
NOVEMBER 5 AT CONCORDIA COLLEGE

The CHARIS Ecumenical Center will present "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior” featuring controversial biblical scholar, author and lecturer, John Dominic Crossan, from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5 in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn.
Renowned for his methodology focused on unearthing the historical Jesus, John Dominic Crossan has authored at least 20 books over 35 years on this topic. He has been a frequent guest on television documentaries and news programs discussing “The Passion of the Christ.” A member of the Jesus Seminar, Crossan has focused on taking what is known about the historical Jesus from the earliest, most widely attested data and set it in a socio-historical context. What has developed are widely debated ‘best guesses’ about the authentic words and actions of Jesus. The scholarship of Crossan and other Jesus scholars has turned him into a liberator of Jesus for many liberal thinking Christians by providing frameworks for understanding who Jesus was might have been.
The cost for the seminar is $125; Group Rate (3 or more per congregation) - $85. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Register online now at www.charisecumenical.org or for more information call 218-299-3566.
