Concordia Orchestra Home Concert Concludes Tour

CONCORDIA COLLEGE HOME ORCHESTRA CONCERT

orchThe Concordia Orchestra will present a Home Concert at 4 p.m., Sunday Nov. 8 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 7th St. S., Moorhead. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert will conclude the orchestra’s 2009 tour which includes stops in Aberdeen, S.D., Rapid City, S.D.; Denver, Colo.; Fort Collins, Colo.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Bismarck, N.D.; and Worthington, Minn.

The 2009 Concordia Orchestra concert tour will feature music by Berlioz, Stradella, Higdon and Saint-Saens.  Featured faculty soloist will be Dr. Peter Knudsvig, professor of trumpet at Concordia College.

One of the college’s most distinctive performing groups, The Concordia Orchestra is an outstanding 89-member symphony orchestra that has earned national and international acclaim.

Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
