Concordia Fall Enrollment Announced
Fall enrollment at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., is 2,811.The student body is comprised of 837 new students from 24 states and 17 countries, including 725 freshmen. All but three registered first-year students arrived for orientation.
“Our recruiting emphasis on quality and fit continues to produce healthy enrollments,” says Omar Correa, vice president for Enrollment. “Strong ACT scores and increasing retention rates are encouraging indications that we remain on the right track.”
The freshman class compiled an average ACT score of 25 and a third of those reporting their high school rank were in the top 10 percent of their class. Total enrollment reflects a first- to second- year retention rate of 84 percent.
Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., and its Concordia Language Villages program are recognized leaders in K-16 global education. A four-year, private liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Concordia ranks 12th nationally in number of students studying abroad. All Concordia students learn one or more of 10 world languages and many pursue international internships and volunteer experiences.
