PATRIOT AWARD GIVEN TO CONCORDIA DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES
Deb Lee, director of Dining Services at Concordia College has been awarded the Patriot Award. The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) gives the Patriot Award to recognize employers who support a strong National Guard and Reserve force. Employers qualify for recognition when they practice leadership and personnel policies that support employee participation in the Guard and Reserve.
Lee was nominated by Paul Dosch, assistant director of Dining Services, who spent three months in Biloxi, Miss., at the Keesler Air Force Base in early 2009. While there Dosch attended training courses to become a force support officer with the National Guard.
“It felt great knowing that while I was away from home serving my country, my colleagues at work were fully supporting me. Many people had to take on additional responsibilities and tasks and for that I am extremely
grateful,” said Dosch.
Lee was presented the award on Sept. 22 by Major Nate Brenneman and Gene Orson, a volunteer with the ESGR.
“I was honored to receive this award. It really belongs to the entire team because we all play an important role in supporting Paul and our military,” said Lee.
