LEADING JESUS SCHOLAR PRESENT CHARIS SEMINAR
The CHARIS Ecumenical Center will present "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior” featuring John Dominic Crossan from 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5 in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center, Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn.
Biblical scholar, author and lecturer, John Dominic Crossan, generally regarded as the leading historical Jesus scholar in the world, will present the seminar. He is the author of several bestselling books, including “The Historical Jesus, Jesus: A Revolutionary Biography,” “The Birth of Christianity,” and “Who Killed Jesus?”
Born in Nenagh County in Tipperary, Ireland, in 1934, Crossan was educated in Ireland and the United States and received a Doctorate of Divinity from Maynooth College in Ireland in 1959. He has been a member of a 13th-century Roman Catholic religious order, was an ordained priest and joined DePaul University in Chicago in 1969. He is now professor emeritus in DePaul’s Religious Studies.
