Jun 18, 2009

Cindy Hogenson, a registered dietitian and Concordia College residential dining manager, has accepted a position on the National College and University Food Service national nutritional committee. As a part of the committee, Hogenson will represent the voice of the NACUFS membership to the committee, assist the committee in identifying appropriate nutrition messages and work to educate colleges across the country about the importance of nutrition.

“Relying on other registered dietitians at Concordia and my experiences, I can represent nutrition related experiences in dietary counseling, menu planning, management, consulting, internship and marketing. I will be representing a small school that values the dietetic professional. Being on the National Nutrition Committee is also a chance to educate and influence matters of nutrition on campuses across the country,” says Hogenson.

Hogenson has been at Concordia for 10 years. She has several diverse responsibilities related to dietetics including menu development, nutrition education and labeling, nutrition counseling and preceptor responsibilities for a dietetic internship program.
