HOST FREE ROXANA INFORMATIONAL TABLE
Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., journalism students are hosting an informational table April 28-30 in the Atrium, Knutson Campus Center, Concordia, to raise awareness about imprisoned journalist and 1997 Concordia alumna Roxana Saberi. Saberi was arrested in Iran in January and was just last week convicted of espionage. She was sentenced to eight years and is being held in Tehran’s Evin prison.
The students will be handing out information about Saberi’s case as well as selling “Free Roxana” yellow ribbon pins to raise money to help with legal and travel expenses for the Saberi family.
Students will be at the table from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 29 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, April 30.
