CONCORDIA EMPLOYEE RECEIVES AWARD

Connie Kubitz, information specialist in the financial aid office at Concordia College, received the Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award at the annual Spring Support Staff Appreciation Dinner April 7.
For the past 17 years, Kubitz has put students and parents at ease in an office where tough questions must be asked about closely held family financial situations. She is also responsible for establishing an annual workshop for a targeted group of students to help them access consumer credit counseling and assist them in reducing their indebtedness. Kubitz is a dedicated employee with a deep commitment to the mission of the college.
The Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Service Award recognizes excellence in long-term service to the college by a member of the support staff. The recipient must be both outstanding in their professional role and a person who is committed to the mission and goals of Concordia.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
