CONCORDIA DINING SERVICES NOMINATED FOR
FOOD INDUSTRY AWARD
Concordia College’s Dining Service has been nominated for the 2009 Restaurants and Institutions magazine Ivy Awards, a prestigious award in the food industry service. The Ivy Award exemplifies professional excellence and accomplishments.
“It is an honor that is won by the best of the best, those operations that aim for and set new standards of achievement,” says Sabrina Whiting, Concordia Dining Services marketing supervisor. “We are pleased to have been nominated for the award.”
The previous year’s recipients select the nominees who are judged on operations that set new standards in the food industry. Winners are determined based on votes from Restaurants and Institution magazine’s subscription pool of over 140,000 trade professionals. Six winners will be announced this spring.
If selected to receive an Ivy Award, Concordia’s Dining Service will be featured in an upcoming issue of Restaurants and Institutions magazine and the organization will be inducted as a life member into the Ivy Society.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
