CONCORDA COLLEGE HOSTS HIGH SCHOOL CHORAL FESTIVAL

    Thirty-five high schools from around the region will participate in the Concordia Choral Festival at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., Jan. 23 and 24. The two-day event will conclude with a concert at 4 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, Minn..
      In addition to quartets and octets from high schools in the region, four choirs have been selected to perform as Honor Choirs. Those choirs include: Brainerd High School A Cappella Choir, Brainerd, Minn.; Armstrong High School Concert Choir, Plymouth, Minn.; Cantus of Central Dakota Children’s Choir, Bismarck, N.D.; and Wayzata Concert Choir, Plymouth, Minn.
    A variety of activities are planned including rehearsals, a mini concert with Cantabile and Männerchor, a talent show, social time and a final concert in which each honor choir will perform two numbers, then concludes with The Concordia Choir and a performance by the mass choir.
    Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
