APPRECIATION RECEPTION SET FOR CONCORDIA
DIRECTOR OF CAMPUS FACILITIES PLANNING

    The Concordia College community celebrates the long-time dedicated service of Ansel Hakanson with an appreciation reception from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Jan. 14 in the Morrie Jones Conference Center, in the Knutson Campus Center. The community is invited to the reception.
    After 32 years of service to Concordia College, Hakanson will be retiring Jan. 17. He started at Concordia in 1976 as Director of Physical Plant and remained in that position until 2006 when he was named director of campus facilities planning. A few of the capital projects Hakanson has overseen during his years as director of the physical plant include the Jones Science Center, Olson Forum and the Olson Skyway, the Bell tower and plaza, Olin Art and Communications Center and others culminating with the Knutson Campus Center.
    Hakanson served as a member of the Northland Educators Federal Credit Union Board of Directors on two separate occasions, including serving as president of the board and currently as a member of the Policy Committee.
    Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
