Concordia College Honor Band Weekend


A musical experience unlike any other

You are invited to audition for an enriching musical weekend held on the campus of Concordia College.

Highlights Include:
  • Making music in an artistically rigorous and nurturing environment alongside of the finest high school wind and percussion instrumentalists in the upper Midwest
  • Performing Chamber repertoire coached by Concordia's distinguished wind and percussion faculty
  • Rehearsing and performing challenging repertoire under the direction of two versatile conductors, Dr. Scott A. Jones and nationally renowned guest composer Dr. David Gillingham

Special Saturday evening performance:

2010 Honor Band members will be our guests at a special Saturday evening Cultural Events Concert featuring The American Brass Quintet.  Members of this group are: Raymond Mase, trumpet; Kevin Cobb, trumpet; David Wakefield, horn; Michael Powell, trombone; and John D. Rojak, bass trombone.  The quintet will also be presenting a master class on Friday afternoon as part of the honor band experience.

Transportation Arrangements

Arrangements are once again being made for a chaperoned chartered coach to transport Honor Band members to and from the Twin Cities, with stops en route.
