Honor Band Weekend 2010

The third annual Concordia College High School Honor Band Weekend took place April 9-11, 2010. 72 high school musicians, representing five upper midwest states, were selected by audition to participate in the event.

Guests for the weekend included composer/conductor Dr. David Gillingham as well as The American Brass Quintet.

American Brass Quintet

2010 Honor Band members were guests at a special Saturday evening Cultural Events Concert featuring The American Brass Quintet.  Members of this group are: Raymond Mase, trumpet; Kevin Cobb, trumpet; David Wakefield, horn; Michael Powell, trombone; and John D. Rojak, bass trombone.  The quintet also presented a master class on Friday afternoon as part of the honor band experience.
