Choirs

At the cornerstone of the music program, the choral ensembles of Concordia set the standard for quality in collegiate choirs. Since the founding of The Concordia Choir in 1920 to the formation of Cantabile and Männerchor in 2007, Concordia continues the Lutheran choral tradition in ways that set a precedent not only for quality, but ingenuity and creativity.

In addition to seeing all five choirs blend seamlessly with The Concordia Orchestra in the beloved annual Concordia Christmas Concert, you can also enjoy the choirs individually throughout the year on campus and at concerts locally, across the country or even overseas. The esteemed Concordia Choir, under the direction of Dr. René Clausen, is frequently performing at major concert halls and is the leading ensemble in the Christmas Concerts. The Concordia Chapel Choir, Männerchor and Cantabile, all under the baton of Michael Culloton, also perform on campus and in local concerts. Bel Canto is conducted by Julie Hagen.
