The Concordia College Band

The Concordia College Band, under the direction of Dr. Scott A. Jones, is one of Concordia's oldest and most distinctive performing groups. Since it’s formation in 1899, the band has earned national and international recognition, including in 1935 when  it was the first Concordia organization to tour abroad.

In addition to frequent home concerts, the band tours nationally each year and internationally every few years, including a recent tour of Norway. In 1999, The Concordia College Band celebrated its 100th anniversary with a tour that included travel and performances in Iceland, Russia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Norway. The band has performed for the national conventions of the Minnesota Music Educators Association and the College Band Directors National Association. In addition, the band has performed with many guest artists, including The Canadian Brass, Allen Vizzutti and Juoko Harjanne, principal trumpet of the Helsinki Radio Orchestra.

You can enjoy a performance by The Concordia College Band on campus and in cities across the country during is annual domestic tours.
